In Barcelona, a good-looking website isn't enough. Your site has to answer locals searching in Catalan and Spanish, tourists searching in English and, if needed, the Turkish community, with the same speed and the same trust, while following Spain's rules on legal pages and cookies. I've been building websites with Gizli Medya since 2009, I'm one of the co-founders of Digitalent Inc., and I live in Spain.
These are the problems I see most often on Barcelona business websites: single-language pages or pages left to machine translation, missing legal texts, cookies that run without consent, and images that load slowly on mobile. Each of these costs you customers and pushes you down on Google.
I build your site as the hub of your advertising and brand work. For the campaign side, see advertising agency in Barcelona; for my web services across Spain, web design in Spain; and for my overall approach, digital marketing in Spain.
Who do I build for? Barcelona businesses that take appointments or bookings, service companies that collect quote requests, e-commerce brands selling to Spain and Europe, and companies from Türkiye opening a new branch here. I don't sell ready-made templates; I map the site structure to your customer journey and guide you on content and photography too.
I don't start a website with design. I start with why the visitor comes to the site. In Barcelona, a clinic wants appointments, a restaurant wants bookings, a shop wants sales, and a service company wants quote requests. The page structure is built around that goal.
On a multilingual site, each language needs its own URL, such as /ca/, /es/, /en/ and /tr/. The tags that tell Google which page is in which language are added in full. Using a machine translation plugin to turn one page into four languages sends a weak signal to both readers and search engines. I explain the difference between Catalan and Spanish SEO in detail in this guide.
In Spain, a commercial website is expected to have an aviso legal showing company details, a privacy policy and a cookie policy. The cookie banner isn't decoration either: analytics and ad cookies shouldn't run until the visitor accepts. I set up this structure technically; I recommend having a gestoría or lawyer verify the legal texts for your situation. For details, see my post on legal requirements for websites in Spain.
Most visitors come from their phones, often on mobile data out on the street. Serving images in modern formats at the right size, avoiding unnecessary plugins and loading the first screen fast are my priorities.
For a store selling to Spain, payment methods, shipping zones, return terms and tax display need to be planned from the start. I walk through it step by step in my post on setting up an online store in Spain.
I run my own projects in Spain, like tatil.es and İspanya Türk Radyo (ispanyaturkradyo.com), on these same principles. I also bring the experience I gained on the official websites of Murat Boz, Ebru Gündeş and Emre Altuğ to your business site. Once the site is ready, we can also work together on traffic through Meta and advertising across Spain.
You know whether a site works by its forms, bookings and sales. That's why the contact form, appointment system or booking tool is integrated into the site and every conversion is tracked in line with cookie consent. Before launch I test that form messages reach your inbox properly and don't land in spam. If the site will be used for advertising, I set up conversion tracking for the ad platforms from the start, so you can see from day one which campaign brings in customers.
People searching in Barcelona often search by neighborhood: Eixample, Gràcia, Sants, Poblenou and so on. Describing the areas you serve in natural language, and using real photos and local references, tells both customers and Google exactly where you are. We write this content separately in Catalan and Spanish. If you also serve the Turkish community, the Turkish pages are written to directly answer the questions the community asks most.
For a new site or a redesign of your current one, tell me about your business, your target languages and your current site address, if you have one, through the contact page. In our first call I'll lay out the biggest gaps on your site and the structure I recommend.
I'm not someone who only builds websites or only runs ads. For 22 years I've delivered work across every area a brand needs online, in Türkiye, the USA and Spain. That means you don't have to split the work among different agencies.
Whatever language your audience speaks, I deliver the work in that language. We work together in Turkish; the website, AI project, ad plan and content come out in Spanish, English, Catalan or any other language you need.

It depends on the scope. A corporate site with a few pages and a multilingual online store take very different amounts of time; I share a clear timeline along with the quote.
I can't call it a legal requirement, but if you want to reach local customers in Barcelona, a Catalan version builds trust and gives you an edge in search.
I set up the page structure and the technical cookie consent. I recommend having a gestoría or lawyer verify the content of the texts for your situation.
