Setting up a company in Spain is a long process involving the NIE, a bank account, a gestoría, a notary and tax registration. I don't do that part, and I shouldn't: company formation and tax are the job of a gestoría or lawyer. For official information, the Spanish government's entrepreneur portal PAE is a good place to start. If you'd like to hear about the process from an expert, check out my conversation with Can Çağatay Çelikkol, who advises on company formation and residence permits in Spain.
My work starts once the company is set up. If the company exists on paper but customers can't find you, the business hasn't really started. Domain, business email, website, legal pages, Google Business Profile, social media, payments, advertising and analytics are all interconnected, and if they aren't set up in the right order, fixing them later takes twice as long.
Below, I've listed in order the digital steps a newly founded business in Spain needs to take. I set up all of these steps myself, in one place; you're also welcome to use the list on your own.
A note: in August in Spain, banks, accountants and many offices slow down for weeks. I talked about this in one of my vlogs. Plan your opening and digital setup timeline accordingly.
I'm not someone who only builds websites or only runs ads. For 22 years I've delivered work across every area a brand needs online, in Türkiye, the USA and Spain. That means you don't have to split the work among different agencies.
Whatever language your audience speaks, I deliver the work in that language. We work together in Turkish; the website, AI project, ad plan and content come out in Spanish, English, Catalan or any other language you need.

The domain and usernames are secured and the brand name is checked; site design can start while the company registration is pending.
Company details go into the legal pages, and the business email and website go live.
The Google Business Profile is created, verified and linked to the site.
Analytics, social media, WhatsApp Business and payments are set up; the first content is prepared.
Ad campaigns start, and reviews and messages are monitored regularly.
No. Company formation, tax and legal matters are the job of a gestoría or lawyer. I handle the entire digital side once the company is set up, from the domain to the ad accounts.
Partly. The domain, usernames and site design can start while the company registration is pending. Legal pages, Google Business Profile and ad accounts require company details.
A commercial site is expected to have a legal notice (Aviso legal), a privacy policy and a cookie policy, and cookies require genuine user consent. To make sure the texts are right for your company, I recommend approval by a lawyer or gestoría.
No. Order matters: first the domain, email, website and Google Business Profile, then analytics, social media and advertising. You can move step by step according to your budget.
I've run the digital strategy, music distribution and official websites for Murat Boz, Ebru Gündeş and Emre Altuğ.
