Digital transformation isn't about buying software. Most businesses buy software, don't use it, and after a while say "it wasn't right for us." It's not the software that didn't fit; the software was chosen before the process was defined.
I help SMBs move their sales, collections and delivery processes online, choose the right software and adapt it to their team, and bring AI tools into their work. The order matters: process first, then software, AI last. When that order breaks, the money spent doesn't come back.
This is the real-world side of the topics I write about in my monthly column in KobiAktüel. Since September 2023, I've written every month for SMBs and entrepreneurs; all my articles are on my press and media page.
This isn't a product sale, it's decision support. Sometimes the right answer for you isn't buying new software, but finally making proper use of the subscription you already pay for. When that's the case, I tell you.
We map how the work runs today, step by step. Which tasks get stuck where, where information gets lost, which steps are done twice.
We don't try to digitalize everything at once. The step that costs the most time or money comes first.
The choice is based on the defined process. I don't recommend new software unless it's needed; using existing tools properly is often enough.
The software is adapted to the team and training is provided. Software nobody uses costs more than software you never bought.
AI tools are added where they make sense, and tracking is set up to measure the results.
What's necessary is a scope that varies with the size of the business. A five-person business doesn't need an enterprise resource planning system, but it does need to know where quotes are stalling and where collections are getting stuck. We set the scope to fit the business.
No. I'm not a reseller or sales partner of any software company. I recommend a tool because it fits your business. If you don't need one, I'll tell you not to buy a new tool.
First you need to find which work is repetitive and rule-based. When AI is added to an undefined process, it only speeds up mistakes. Once the process is clear, we decide together which tools go where.
It depends on the scope. Fixing a single process is quick; tackling the entire flow from sales to delivery is a longer engagement. We work out the scope and timeline together in the first meeting.
If needed, yes. If an off-the-shelf tool does the job, I'll recommend it; if there's a need nothing on the market covers, then we talk about custom development. I cover the software development side on a separate page.
